Police Make Another Big Heroin Bust

Another day, another big heroin bust. While not millions of dollars like earlier this week, $31,850 worth.

Jorge Claudio, 50, of Lawrence, MA, was arrested on July 1, 2015, and charged with possession with intent to distribute.

According to Manchester Police, the department’s Special Enforcement Division was investigating a Massachusetts man coming to the Queen City to allegedly sell heroin in a pre-arranged deal.

The subject, Claudio, was located in the area of Maple and Harvard streets, according to police. He allegedly possessed more than 318 grams of the drug and was arrested.

“Claudio refused to speak with the bail commissioner so no bail was set,” according to Officer Mark Ampuja of the Manchester Police Department.

Claudio was scheduled to be arraigned earlier today.
