Police Seek Suspect in Early Morning Baseball Bat Attack
Breaking: A white man who allegedly attacked a teen and two other adults on West Hancock Street this morning.

MANCHESTER, NH — Police in Manchester are attempting to local a man who was reportedly involved in a baseball bat attack this morning on the West Side of the city, according to a report. Officers were sent to West Hancock Street at around 1:15 a.m. for a report of an assault on a building porch. A 16-year-old and two adults were reportedly injured during the attack.
“Two of the three victims were seated on the porch when a man approached them,” according to Lt. Brian O’Keefe of the Manchester Police Department. “They alleged the assailant was armed with a baseball bat while wearing a black ski mask, blue shirt and jeans.”
The man allegedly began pummeling the male adult with the bat so an adult woman attempted to intervene. The man was struck several times in the head, face, and back during the attack. The woman also sustained minor injuries to the head during the attack.

The then teen exited the apartment building and was able to gain access to the bat but was struck “several times in the process, which caused injuries to his hand and wrist,” according to O’Keefe. The teen was taken to a local hospital but the adults refused treatment, according to the report.
“The assailant fled prior to police arrival and was last seen on foot,” O’Keefe noted. “Members of the Manchester Police Detective Unit are investigating the assault, which does not appear to be random. Investigators believe the assailant is known to both adult victims, so they will continue to follow up on several leads.”
