Police Seek Tips After Saturday Night Shooting On Elm Street

Investigators say a man was shot during an argument inside of Cheers and Beers on Elm Street in Manchester at just before midnight.

MANCHESTER, NH — Police in Manchester are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect in a shooting on Saturday.

Officers on patrol downtown were flagged down to assist a man with a gunshot wound located in an alley behind Cheers and Beers on Elm Street at just before midnight. According to Lt. Matthew Barter of the Manchester Police Department, more officers arrived and secured the area while medical aid was provided to the man, 29.

The victim was taken later to the hospital with serious injuries, he said.

“Detectives from the Manchester Police Investigative Division responded to the scene and continue to investigate this case,” Barter said. “Initial information indicates that the victim was shot inside the business after an argument.”

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is being asked to call the Manchester Police Department at 603-668-8711.
