Police: Two Too Lewd
Cindy Canney, David Hoffens arrested; both have previous run-ins with the law.

Two local residents were arrested last night on lewdness charges on Hall Street in Manchester.
Cindy Canney, 33, of Manchester, and David Hoffens, 22, of Manchester, were both arrested on Feb. 18, after detectives reportedly observed a woman enter a pickup truck near Maple and Manchester streets at around 10 p.m.
The truck drove to the 800 block of Hall Street and pulled off to the side of the roads. The driver then turned the truck’s headlights off, according to a report.

The detectives caught the two “engaging in illegal activity” and asked them to exit the truck. Both were arrested at the scene.
During a post arrest search, Hoffens was allegedly found to have more than 12 grams of marijuana in his backpack, and a possession of a controlled drug charge was added. He was put on a 72-hour probation/parole hold.

Canney is due in court on March 20.
According to online posts, Hoffens was involved in as shooting 18 months ago but later cleared by the NH AG.
Canney was arrested in January 2010, she was arrested on driving charges in Pembroke. In May 2010, she was arrested on fraud and forgery charges in Pembroke. In June 2010, she was arrested in Pembroke for default or breach of bail conditions,
