MANCHESTER, NH — A man from Manchester is facing a felony fake explosives charge after being accused of reporting a false bomb threat.

Around 1:30 a.m. on July 11, police were sent to a building on Elm Street, not far from Lowell Street, for a report of a bomb threat. Dispatchers told officers the caller said there was a bomb in the building and then hung up, according to Heather Hamel, the public information officer for the Manchester Police Department.

“Officers entered the building, and a K-9 was also deployed,” she said. “Ultimately, no explosives were located.”
