MANCHESTER, NH — Queen City police are being praised for their quick action in saving a man’s life in the lobby of headquarters yesterday morning. Sgt. Peter Marr and Officer Victoria Catano observed a male subject – 51 – suffering from an unknown medical condition while seated in a chair around 8:45 a.m. on March 29, 2017, according to a press statement from Lt. Brian O’Keefe of the Manchester Police Department.

“They noticed he seemed pale in color and looked as if he may have been sleeping, so they checked his pulse,” O’Keefe noted. “They were unable to locate a pulse, so they sprang into action and started emergency CPR.”

Catano retrieved an automatic external defibrillator unit while Marr started chest compressions. Lt. Joe Mucci and Lt. Nicole Ledoux arrived on scene and assisted the officers with chest compressions, O’Keefe stated.
