Hamel said through the investigation, police determined that the stabbing happened at the Christos Kalivas Hi-Rise Apartment Building on Chestnut Street, and the subject walked to the hotel. One person was transported from the Chestnut Street scene and the injuries were unknown at post time.

This does not appear to be a random incident and all involved parties have been identified, according to police. This is an active investigation and several roads are closed as police work. Lake Avenue is closed from Pine Street to Elm Street and Chestnut Street from Central Street to Cedar Street.
