Residential Burglaries Reported in Bedford
Police seek assistance with cases on County Road and Powder Hill Road where jewelry was reportedly stolen.

BEDFORD, NH — Investigators in the Bedford Police Department are requesting the public’s assistance as after two burglaries occurred on Wednesday .
At around 5 p.m. on Wednesday, July 6, 2016, Bedford Police responded to County Road on report of a daytime burglary. Upon arrival, officers found that the home had been forcibly entered through a window sometime during the late afternoon hours. No one was home at time of the incident, according to Chief John Bryfonski of the Bedford Police Department.
Officers later responded to a report of a burglary on Powder Hill Road around 6 p.m., where they found the home forcibly entered through a back door.

Several pieces of jewelry were reported stolen in both incidents, according to an alert.
"All residents should be vigilant about locking their doors and securing their belongings," Bryfonski said. "We are actively investigating both incidents and asking the community to come forward with any information."
