Ricciardi Led Efforts for Children’s Environmental Health Day

In 2018, Denise was the driving force whose efforts led Governor Chris Sununu to have this day recognized statewide.

Bedford, NH — Today, District 9 state Senate candidate, Denise Ricciardi, is honoring Children’s Health Day in New Hampshire.

In 2018, Denise was the driving force whose efforts led Governor Chris Sununu to have this day recognized state wide. According to the proclamation signed on October 10, 2018, by Governor Sununu the aim of Children’s Environmental Health Day is to, “Raise awareness and educate citizens about the importance of clean air and water, safe food and consumer products as well as healthy environments for children's wellness and development.”

Statement from Denise Ricciardi:

“I am very proud this third anniversary recognizes this important day on our state’s official calendar. Protecting the safety, health and well-being of our children needs to be a top priority for our state’s government. This day honoring and raising awareness shows our commitment to truly making a difference. Presently, with the Covid-19 pandemic and PFOA water issues plaguing large portions of our state, the health of our families should be foremost in all of our minds. We need to remain diligent and work together as a community and state to resolve these issues.”
