BEDFORD, NH — The New Hampshire Department of Transportation is reconfiguring Route 101 for bridge construction beginning on Nov. 16.

Weather permitting, the department said, daytime paving of the new temporary traffic configuration will begin on Nov. 16. It is anticipated the traffic will be switched onto the temporary traffic diversion by the end of Nov. 22.

The surface prep, paving, and traffic switch will use one lane in two-way traffic between 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. between Mile Marker 46.4 and 47.4.

“Message boards and smart work zone devices will be used to notify the traveling public of the changes,” an alert on Monday stated. “Motorists should remain alert while traveling through the construction zone and obey all posted signs.”
