Severe Thunderstorms, Possible Tornado to Hit NH
Breaking: The National Weather Service just issued an alert warning Granite Staters about storms, damaging winds through tomorrow morning.

GRAY, ME — The National Weather Service issued a hazardous weather outlook alert this afternoon warning of isolated – but severe – thunderstorms and even a possible tornado. The alert was issued at just before 3 p.m. on Aug. 16, 2016, and covers all of New Hampshire.
“There is the threat for some isolated severe thunderstorms between 6 p.m. tonight and 2 a.m. Wednesday,” according to the alert. “The primary severe weather threat would be for damaging winds. An isolated tornado cannot be ruled out.”
Heavy rain is possible from the storms that may develop or strike the state today and tomorrow morning.

No hazardous weather is expected later on Wednesday or through the rest of the week, according to the alert.

According to a post on Facebook, as harsh as the storms may turn out to be, the rain is badly needed in the Granite State, since drought conditions persist around most of the state.
