Missing Stratham Teen Found Deceased

Breaking: John "Jack" Beaton was discovered in Stratham earlier today after a multi-day search when he went missing in Exeter.

STRATHAM, NH — Stratham Police have announced that they have found a 17-year-old missing since Sunday, according to a press statement. John “Jack” Beaton of Stratham was found earlier today (Oct. 5, 2016), according to Chief John Scippa of the Stratham Police Department.

The search for the boy began on Oct. 2, when he was last seen at a store in Exeter. Police released information about Beaton being missing yesterday and he was found today.

“The facts and circumstances surrounding Mr. Beaton’s death are not considered suspicious,” he noted. “At this time my deepest condolences are extended to Jack’s family and friends. It is our hope that the public offer their support to Jack’s family during this difficult time.”

Scippa offered thanks to the Exeter Police, New Hampshire State Police, and the public for assisting in the search and sharing information about Beaton while attempting to locate him. No further information is anticipated in the matter, he noted.
