MANCHESTER, NH — New Hampshire State Police are asking for the public’s help as the department investigates a two-vehicle collision on I-293 this morning that sent two men to the hospital with injuries, according to a report. Troopers from Troop B in Bedford were called to the area of I-293 South near Exit 5 in Manchester at just after 8 a.m. on Dec. 20, 2106, for a report of a 2004 Mitsubishi Galant – being driven by a Manchester man – losing control, crossing over the center median, and smashing into a 2007 Honda CR-V being driven by a man from Bow.
The Manchester man was ejected, sustained serious injuries, and transported to Catholic Medical Center; the Bow man sustained minor injuries and was taken to Elliot Hospital. Both vehicles sustain significant front-end damage and were towed from the scene. No charges have been filed in the case, according to Lt. Nathan Noyes of the NHSP.
Manchester Fire Department, Manchester Police Department, and the NH Department of Transportation all assisted at the scene of the crash, he stated. The southbound side of I-293 was shut down for a short period of time during the accident investigation.
