Santorum Moves into Pawlenty's Bedford Campaign Headquarters

Former Pennsylvania Senator says his New Hampshire campaign needs more space to keep up with growing enthusiasm.

Tim Pawlenty's third-place finish in the Ames Straw Poll appears to be Rick Santorum's fourth-place gain, at least in New Hampshire.

Santorum, the former Pennsylvania Senator who is running for president, has announced he'll be relocating his Granite State campaign headquarters from Manchester to Pawlenty's former offices at 273 South River Road in Bedford, the same location John McCain used in 2007-08 when he surged to victory in New Hampshire's first-in-the-nation primary.

Though the office space was still vacant this morning, Rick Santorum signs had been placed all around the building.

Santorum's campaign cited the need for a larger location due to a strong performance in the Ames Iowa Straw Poll in August.

Ironically, Pawlenty, who finished ahead of Santorum, withdrew from the race the day after Ames citing a disappointing finish in the poll.

"The outpouring of support we have received since the Ames Straw Poll has spilled over beyond Iowa's borders and into many other states including New Hampshire," said Santorum. "We're excited that the enthusiasm and size of our campaign continues to grow every day.

"The additions of staff, volunteers, and new office space were needed and necessary to run our New Hampshire campaign operations. Our new office space will allow our campaign to be the most volunteer friendly headquarters for our expanding grassroots base," he added. "I'm so proud of our New Hampshire team, and I look forward to working with them as we advance toward victory in New Hampshire's first-in-nation primary."
