Sex Offender Arrested for Bank Robbery
Police allege that Shane Mitchell robbed the TD Bank on Franklin Street in Manchester.

Police in the Queen City were able to make a quick arrest earlier today after a bank robbery downtown, arresting a local man with a long criminal history just before he reached the safety of his home, according to a press statement.
At around 9:30 a.m. on March 7, the TD Bank on Franklin Street was robbed. According to a teller at the bank, “a subject approached the counter and handed a note demanding money.” The man did not display or mention a weapon and then fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.
The man was described as white wearing a dark coat and hat, jeans, and a blue scarf that was used to cover his face. After officers arrived, they spoke to bank security officers, who stated that the man headed north on foot. Patrol officers later found a man, Shane Mitchell, 32, of Orange Street, who matched the description, a few blocks away near the intersection of Elm and Orange streets.
