“Due to the concerns that the subject was armed, NHSP responded with K-9s to assist in searching for the suspect,” Biron stated. “Additional troopers responded with the K-9 units to assist with the perimeter. NHSP offered the use of the state police helicopter to utilize its FLIR night vision and assist with the search.”
At around 3:30 a.m., a state police helicopter located a suspect hiding by a vehicle on Corey Place. Officers converged and ordered the suspect to surrender but he alleged refused and was bitten by a NHSP K-9 before being taken into custody, according to Biron.
“At the time of his arrest he was found to be in possession of a quantity of crack cocaine,” Biron added.
Legere is no stranger to police in New Hampshire, according to reports online.

He was convicted of felonious sexual assault against a child under 16 in February 2001. Before that, he was also convicted of disorderly conduct, criminal trespassing, possession of a controlled drug, simple assault, and breach of bail, according to the state of New Hampshire. Legere was also convicted of controlled drug act in November 2002, duty to inform in February 2006, and simple assault in March 2013. The indictment was based on him allegedly failing to report to Greenville as he is obligated to do as a sex offender in April 2017.
