Shooting Investigated In Central NH
Breaking: Police were reportedly called to at least one incident this morning in Manchester, according to alerts online.

MANCHESTER, NH — Police in Manchester are investigating two separate shooting incidents in the city, according to alerts online. Earlier this morning, a victim was reportedly shot in the area of Central Street at just before 8:30 a.m. The victim was transported to a local hospital.

The school call, however, appears to have been a hoax, according to posts on the Manchester Information Facebook site.

New Hampshire State Police reportedly posted a BOLO – “be on the lookout” – at around 9 a.m. on Sept. 7, 2017, for a black Mercury Mountaineer with a NH plate beginning with 425 that might be related to the shooting incident, the Manchester Emergency Alert Center noted on its Facebook site.

An hour ago, police called a SWAT team to a rooming house on Amherst Street. Lt. Brian O’Keefe of the Manchester Police Department stated that officers were searching for a potential suspect in the building.
Police have closed down several streets and have evacuated rooming house tenants.
