Snow, Wintry Mix Expected to Hit NH This Weekend

The National Weather Service said travel could be hazardous on Saturday night and into Sunday morning.

A winter storm is expected to bring a mix of snow, sleet, freezing rain and rain to New Hampshire this weekend.

The National Weather Service said snow should spread over New Hampshire Saturday evening. The snow will mix with and change to sleet and freezing rain overnight. The precipitation should change over to all rain by Sunday morning as temperatures rise above freezing.

The NWS is predicting hazardous travel conditions on Saturday night and into Sunday morning. Freezing rain could also lead to scattered power outages.

The NWS said the Concord area could see as much as 4 to 6 inches of snow -- and a tenth of an inch of ice. Southern parts of New Hampshire and along the coast are not expected to get that much snow, but the NWS said it is “still uncertain how much snow and mixed precipitation falls before a transition to rain.”
