Derryfield junior works for others; was honored by org last week.

MANCHESTER, NH - Derryfield junior Phoebe Socha was recognized as the Volunteer of the Year for The Derryfield School’s Key Club at the Kiwanis International dinner last week.

Phoebe has been involved in service throughout her years at Derryfield, but really got involved this past summer when she had the opportunity to work on a Navajo Reservation during a school trip to Utah and Arizona. She is a teacher with Breakthrough Manchester, a middle school tutor, has worked at Camp Allen, and is an active member in Key Club activities, logging just under one hundred hours of community service this year.

The Derryfield School is a coeducational, non-sectarian, college-preparatory day school currently serving 388 students in grades 6-12 from 50 communities. The mission of The Derryfield School is to inspire bright, motivated young people to be their best and provide them with the skills and experiences needed to be valued, dynamic, confident, and purposeful members of any community.
