Speeding with Defective Equipment Leads to Fentanyl Arrest: NHSP
Christian Browne of Goffstown was arrested this morning by state police on I-93.

MANCHESTER, NH — A local man was arrested this morning after a motor vehicle stop led to a drug charge, according to New Hampshire State Police. Christian Browne, 30, of Goffstown, was arrested on April 22, 2017, for possession of a narcotic drug-fentanyl.

According to a report, a trooper from the Troop B barracks in Bedford made a traffic stop at around 7:30 a.m. on I-93 in Manchester for speeding and defective equipment – a non-illuminated headlight. The driver was reportedly identified as Browne and during the course of the stop, the trooper found that he had an active warrant.

After being arrested, the trooper allegedly found Browne to be in possession of approximately half a finger – about 5 grams – of fentanyl, according to the report. He was arrested, processed, and released. According to Lt. Noyes of the NHSP, Browne is due in Manchester District Court on May 15.
Browne, according to the Goffstown Police Department, was arrested in September 2016 on driving charges after a motor vehicle stop near St. Anselms College.
