State Police Deliver Baby On Side Of The Road In Bedford
New Hampshire State Police helped a Massachusetts couple deliver their newborn son on the side of the road in Bedford.

BEDFORD, NH — New Hampshire State Police helped deliver a baby boy on the side of the highway on F.E. Everett Turnpike in Bedford.
Just after 8 p.m. Friday, a 911 call came in from George D'Amelio, of Tyngsborough, Massachusetts. State Police said the couple were on their way to Catholic Medical Center in Manchester.
D'Amelion told dispatchers he had to pull over near the 18.4-mile marker on the northbound side of the highway because his wife, Christine, had gone into labor.

State Troopers Mark Dore arrived an guided the father through a successful delivery. Trooper Brad Pierson and the Bedford Fire Department came shortly after and took control of the situation, State Police said.
"Mom, Dad and Jackson were transported by ambulance to the Catholic Medical Center and all are doing well," Lt. Bryan Trask said in a statement. "Congratulations to all!"

The roadside delivery was the second State Police helped with in two weeks. Troopers also helped a dad deliver their newborn son in Londonberry on April 7.
