Last night (1/30/18) the Democratic Party did a great service to our country (or so they thought). The optics of Democrats and their leadership sitting on their hands, stone faced or with scowled faces as if they had been sucking on lemons will endure throughout the years; as Americans finally see the true nature of obsessive, left-wing, identity politics.
It is this hatred for the Trump administration and its fanatical resistance and obstructionism which will signal the death knell for the Democratic Party. Here are the beginnings of death rattles for not acknowledging:
· Rattle - When God was mentioned (just like in previous Democratic National Convention)

· Rattle - Our national motto of “In God We Trust”
· Rattle - Our flag and national anthem

· Rattle - The Nations’ Capitol and liberty statuette symbolism (this being the case why were they in attendance to begin with?)
· Rattle – The obvious boycotting of SOTU by several Democratic representatives
The final straw was when some Dems walked out when people chanted USA; further alienating themselves from main-stream America. You know, those forgotten men and women, irredeemable and deplorable in the sight of elitist ideologues.
As an epilogue, there were five ridiculous, opposition addresses. The primary one being voiced to an audience of naïve students in a solid liberal enclave. Just what the future of the Democratic Party needs, another Kennedy retread who inherited his liberal slant and honed it in rich poison ivy league schools. How novel!
And honorable mention goes to both Bernie Sanders, the country’s richest Socialist senator and Insane Maxine Waters, whose vocal chords are perpetually stuck in the “Impeach 45” chant.
As an epitaph, Democrats should take heed about the dangers of separation from the poet John Donne, when he penned that “"No man is an island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main. “
