The popular Brookside Story Hour will be hosted again this summer every Wednesday morning from June 29 through July 27 on the Brookside Manning House back lawn. It is open to Brookside children, friends and neighbors in our community. All ages are welcome. Families should bring a blanket to sit on and can enjoy complimentary snacks.
Brookside partners with the Manchester Library that provides the stories to be read to the children and allows them to sign up for a library card and check out books “on the road.” Each story hour also hosts local community organization partners, like the Currier Museum of Art for example, that will do a craft or activity with the kids. This year’s story hour will have an animal and nature theme – chickens, sheep, fish, seedlings and water, that supports the mission of Heifer International.
Rainy day storytelling will be held in the Brookside Manning House Sun Porch. All ages are welcome. Stories will be geared toward ages 3-7. For more information, please visit www.brooksidecc.org.
