TD Bank Grant Gives Girls a Chance to Explore the Great Outdoors
Funds provided scholarships to Girl Scout Camp for NH, VT residents.

A $7,500 grant from TD Charitable Foundation, the giving arm of TD Bank, will support scholarships for New Hampshire girls attending Girl Scout camp this summer, according to a press statement.
The grant will also help fund the cost of camp program supplies.
Girl Scout camp provides many girls with their first opportunity to explore the outdoors and enjoy traditional camping activities such as swimming, boating, hiking, cooking out, and archery. Roughly 300 girls – about 16 percent of all Girl Scout Camp attendees residing in New Hampshire and Vermont- annually attend camp via full or partial scholarship funds.

“It would be impossible for most of these girls to attend Girl Scout camp without the generosity and support of organizations such as the TD Charitable Foundation,” said Carrie Green, director of girl leadership experience at Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains. “This donation is truly a gift to these girls, as the Girl Scout camp experience is transformative, both in the short-and long-term.”
Nearly 3,500 girls annual attend Girl Scout camp at seven camps across New Hampshire and Vermont.
