Teen Allegedly Assaults Man With A Scooter

Jonathan Ramirez of Manchester allegedly pummeled a man unconscious in a parking lot earlier this month … while juveniles looked on.

MANCHESTER, NH — A local man sustained a concussion during an attack at the Manchester Skate Park earlier this month, according to police. Arrested for second-degree assault in the Oct. 1, 2017, attack was Jonathan Ramirez, 18, of Manchester. He was arrested outside of Central High School on Oct. 19, on a warrant.

The man – a 47-year-old – was reportedly assaulted at around 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 1, at the Manchester Skate Park located on Maple Street. “Ramirez and a group of juveniles allegedly surrounded the 47 year-old as Ramirez struck the victim in the head with a metal Razor scooter,” according to Lt. Brian O’Keefe of the Manchester Police Department. “The victim sustained a concussion as a result of the blow that caused him to lose consciousness.”

A detective issued a warrant against Ramirez and he was picked up last week. He was released on personal recognizance bail and is due in court on Nov. 2.
