Teen Arrested in Shooting Incident

After manhunt, police arrest Jacob Cahill for allegedly firing his gun into a car in the Queen City on Sunday morning.

MANCHESTER, NH — A local teen will be arraigned in court this morning after turning himself in to police on a warrant for allegedly shooting into a vehicle in Manchester on Oct. 2, 2016, according to police. Jacob Cahill, 18, of Manchester, was arrested and charged with attempted first-degree assault and reckless conduct.

On Sunday morning at a little before 11 a.m., officers were sent to the area of the CVS on South Main Street for a report of a shooting. They met with the victim in the case – a local teen – who alleged that he was a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped at a light at the intersection of Conant and Main streets when an Acura Integra pulled up behind them. A man then reportedly exited the Acura and fired a single gunshot into the passenger door of the vehicle. The teen was uninjured but knew the suspect, according to police, and reportedly identified him as Cahill.

Manchester Police issued an alert asking for assistance finding Cahill and warrants were also issued for his arrest. He later turned himself in to police later, was processed, and held on the charges.
