Teen Faces Charges After Incident on I-293

New Hampshire State Police arrest Adrian Yates.

Adrian Yates, 19, of New Boston, was arrested on Oct. 10, after allegedly threatening a mother and her children with a knife. He was charged with conduct after an accident and felony criminal threatening.

According to the New Hampshire State Police, troopers from Troop B in Bedford as well as Manchester Police were called to a report of a hit and run accident on I-293 near Brown Avenue. The complainant, a woman, said she and her two children were hit by an orange Pontiac that later left the scene. The victim followed the car to Exit 6.

While in traffic, the driver of the car allegedly brandished a knife at the victim in her children and continued off Exit 6 toward Candia Road. The victim continued to follow the driver into several parking lots but later, lost sight of the vehicle.

Troopers and police were able to find the Pontiac on Candia Road and placed the operator, later identified as Yates, with the charges.

Yates will be arraigned on Nov. 3, in Manchester District Court.
