Three Elected To Bedford Town Council

Melissa Stevens, Bill Duschatko, and Phil Greazzo all win town council seats and seven of eight zoning amendments were approved.

BEDFORD, NH — Despite a blizzard, 14 percent of the town of Bedford went to the polls during the 2018 annual election, according to the unofficial results. According to the town clerk, 2,448 voters cast ballots on March 13, 2018. Voters cast ballots in two competitive races: Town Council and Library Trustee.

In the council race, Melissa Stevens topped the ticket with 1,160 votes with Bill Duschatko coming in second with 997 votes and Phil Greazzo also earning the third seat with 819 votes. Julio Nunez, Emma Carole Paradis, and Matt Sullivan rounded out the pack with 695 to 525 votes.

Walter Gallo easily beat Robert Brooks in the trustees race by a nearly five-to-one margin.

Other candidates ran opposed.

Voters also approved seven of eight zoning amendments. The one amendment rejected was a citizen petition by William Greiner and others concerning a footnote change stating that licensed surgical centers not being a permitted use within medical or dental clinic within all districts where the use is permitted.
