Tourney Time: Two Title Tussles Today
Bedford ice hockey, girls basketball teams play for state championships today. BHS aims for upset against top seed in boys hoops, and spirit squad competes at states on Sunday.

Considering Bedford's habbit of regular playoff success, it may come as little surprise to some that the Bulldogs have three team units still competing deep in the postseason.
Two, in fact, play for state championships today. The following is an update on this week's BHS playoff action:
Ice Hockey
The third-ranked Bulldogs, who edged out No. 2 Spaulding, 5-4, during Wednesday night's semifinal matchup, earned a third contest in as many weeks with top-seeded Merrimack, this time in the state championship game.

BHS delivered the Tomahawks their lone two losses on the season, back-to-back setbacks by the score of 2-1 and 3-1, respectively, to close the regular season on Feb. 21 and 23.
Now the Division II favorites look for revenge on the the tournament's biggest stage when the puck drops at 2:30 p.m. today at the Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester.

Girls Basketball
The second-seeded Lady B's fell to top-ranked Bishop Guertin, 51-42, in the third game of the regular season on Dec. 14.
Now, BHS aims for revenge in the final contest of the postseason.
The locals, who finished the regular season with a 16-2 record, earned the rematch with 17-1 BG by crushing No. 6 Winnacunnet, 62-34, on Thursday night.
Tonight's title tilt is scheduled for 7:30 tonight at Southern New Hampshire University. For a complete look at the bracket, click here.
Boys Basketball
There's perhaps no hotter boys basketball team in the state than Bedford.
The eight-ranked Bulldogs, who won nine of 10 games – including their last six contests – to close the regular season with a 12-6 record and clinch a home playoff game, defeated No. 9 Winnacunnet, 60-42, on Tuesday to set up the second-round matchup with top-seeded Trinity.
BHS fell to the Pioneers, 52-49, on Jan. 15.
Tip off is scheduled for 4 p.m. at Trinity High School in Manchester.

Spirit
The Bedford High School varsity spirit squad is scheduled to compete for a state title on Sunday, March 10 at Southern New Hampshire University.
