Want to know what it’s like to be a police officer? Join us for our Citizens Academy! This 9-week citizens academy is open to all Bedford residents and business owners over the age of the citizens academy provides participants with an in-depth and multifaceted look at the diverse duties that officers carry out on a daily basis. As part of the academy, attendees will be exposed to virtually every aspect of police work including patrol operations, criminal investigations, community policing, and more. The academy begins on Thursday, April 4th from 6:00-9:00pm and will continue every Thursday, from 6:00-9:00pm, with the last class held on Thursday, May 30th. This academy is free, but space is limited, and applications will be accepted on a first-come basis.
