Trooper Injured on Route 3 Crash
Merrimack woman is cited for speeding after Bedford crash.

A New Hampshire State Trooper was injured after an accident on Route 3 in Bedford earlier today, according to a report.
At around 1:30 p.m. on Jan. 31, the Troop B trooper was called to a disabled motor vehicle that had spun out and was now stuck in snow on the onramp from Route 3 to the R.W. Drive West in Bedford.
The trooper positioned his cruiser behind the vehicle with its emergency lights activated “in an attempt to warn other drivers to slow down and protect the disabled motorist while awaiting a tow truck,” according to Sgt. Bryan Trask of Troop B.

A few minutes after doing this, a Chrysler Sebring being driven by Kathleen Sudal of Merrimack, reportedly crashed into the cruiser, causing damage to the vehicle, and injuring the trooper. The trooper was later taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Nashua and treated for back pain. He has since been released.
Sudal and a female passenger were not injured in the crash but was cited for speeding (too fast for the existing conditions, snow and wind), according to the report.
