Two Incumbent Reps Win GOP Nominations

12 candidates whittled down to six.

It was a rough and tumble primary season in Bedford with charges and counter-charges between different factions of the town’s Republican activists.

Out of 12 candidates though, only six could move onto the general election.

According to unofficial returns, Linda Gould topped the ticket with 11 percent or 1,430 votes. Incumbent Keith Murphy came in second with 1,354 votes or 10 percent. Also getting 10 percent was David Danielson, another incumbent, with 1,304 votes. Bart Fromuth came in fourth with 1,205 votes or 9 percent. Also getting 9 percent was Terry Wolf with 1,151 votes. Ken Peterson came in sixth with 1,093 votes of 8 percent.

Emily O’Neill just missed sixth by six votes, according to the returns. Melissa Stevens, incumbent John Graham, Lawrence Cheetham, John Schneller, and Kristin Noble rounded out the pack.
