Two Injured After Bedford Crash

The crash occurred on Route 114 and White Avenue after a Hyundai pulled a U-turn, according to police.

BEDFORD, NH — Bedford Police are investigating a motor vehicle crash last night on Route 114 that left both a motorcyclist and driver injured, according to an alert. Officers were sent to the route near White Avenue at around 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 21, 2016, for a report of an accident with injury and found northbound traffic stopped on Route 114 due to paving happening further up the road.

“After an initial investigation including witness accounts, police determined the driver of a 2016 Hyundai Sonata was making a U-turn on Route 114 in an effort to avoid northbound traffic,” according to Chief John Bryfonski of the Bedford Police Department. “While the vehicle was turning around, a 2016 Indian Dark Horse motorcycle travelling southbound hit the front right portion of the vehicle.”

Both drivers were transported by ambulance to an area hospital, according to the report. The motorcyclist sustained a broken arm, broken teeth, and cuts on his face.
