VIDEO: Bedford Farmers' Market Opens

The 2012 Bedford Farmers' Market opened Tuesday at Benedictine Park. Market organizers encourage you to visit and shop each Tuesday through Oct. 23.

Executive Councilor , who grew up on a farm, gave opening remarks and wished everyone a fruitful season. He welcomed each vendor, walking the grounds with Farmers' Market organizers, including President Susanne P. Stretch, Secretary-Treasurer Diane Romagnoli, and Co-Vice President Katy Dunn.

In this video, Wieczorek speaks about the importance of local growers and businesses. Cameos by musician Brendan Bullard, Stephen Keith of Rollin' in the Dough, and, of course, "Casey" the dairy cow.
