Please join me in voting YES on Bedford School District budget items at the upcoming ballot.

Please join me in voting YES on Bedford School District budget items at the upcoming ballot.

The school's operating budget contains funding required for both sustaining and advancing excellent educational outcomes in Bedford. It contains funding for personnel tasked to address the evolving needs and challenges facing this generation of children. Priorities include stable class sizes, math resources, a full-time social worker, and new instructional materials.

The mission-critical employees in the BEPA and BESSA associations also appear on the ballot.
The three-year contracts recognize the work and accomplishments of our food service workers, custodians, support staff, and para-professionals and keeps the Bedford school district competitive in hiring for these important roles.

This year's ballot continues the recent trend of enhancing community choice and decisions via the ballot box. Athletic field and gymnasium maintenance at BHS, Lurgio, and McKelvie schools is overdue. These assets are not only used in eduction, but sustain and enhance the quality of our living spaces in town. They are used virtually every day of the year by children and adults alike.

This is a good budget. It funds the people, programs, and facilities investments needed to sustain and enhance the quality of our community's education while simultaneously providing one of the best value-for-your-educational-dollar propositions in the state of NH. Your investments in Bedford eduction not only seed our children's future, but strengthen our existing community. Please vote YES for the school budget, contracts, and athletic maintenance needs.
