Here’s a roundup of things to do in and around Patch towns this week. Click on the links for more information:
Weather
On Monday, expect sunny skies with highs in the mid-60s in the central and southern part of the state; it will be a bit warmer on the Seacoast. Overnight lows will drop down to the low 40s most of the week. Similar weather is expected on Tuesday and Wednesday. On Thursday, temps could rise to 70 and then, the mid-70s on Friday. The weekend is looking sunny and warm, too.

Monday
- U.S. Senate candidate Scott Brown will be interviewed from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Rudman Center at UNH School of Law in Concord as part of a candidate conversation series that will also air live on NHPR.
- The Penacook Village Farmers’ Market will be held from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at the Rolfe Homestead at 11 Penacook St. in Penacook. Backtrack are scheduled to perform folk songs and Americana roots music.
- Aerosmith: Rock for the Rising Sun will be shown at 7 p.m. at the Capitol Center for the Arts on South Main Street in Concord. Tickets are $12-$15.
- Whippersnappers Restaurant on Nashua Road in Londonderry hosts an open mic night with Lisa Guyer and others from 8 to 11 p.m.

- Christine Halvorson of the Social Media School of New Hampshire and Halvorson New Media hosts a Launch Your Business into Social Media at the Congregational Church of Amherst on Church Street in Amherst at 11 a.m. Registration is required and the classes run from $50 to $120. Halvorson is also offering the class in Milford on Sept. 24.
- The Bedford Farmers’ Market will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. in the St. Elizabeth Seton Parking Lot, 190 Meetinghouse Road in Bedford.
- Bishop O’Connell, author of “The Stolen,” will be talking and signing books at Gibson’s Bookstore on South Main Street in Concord at 6 p.m.
- The Verizon Wireless Communications Store on Nashua Road in Londonderry is hosting a smartphone workshop for Android phone owners at 6 p.m.
- The Financial Planning Adult Education Conference Center on Gilcreast Road in Londonderry hosts a two-night workshop on retirement planning. The first night is at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Registration is required, $25 to $50.
Wednesday
- Gov. Maggie Hassan will be interviewed on NHPR from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Rudman Center at UNH School of Law in Concord.
- The Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce and other organizations host a job fair at 10 a.m. at the Steeplegate Mall on Loudon Road in Concord.
- The WineNot Boutique, 170 Main St. in Nashua hosts a wine and cheese tasting from 5 to 8 p.m.
- A Community HU Chant, “a simple love song to God,” will be held at the Exeter Public Library at 4 Chestnut St. in Exeter at 7 p.m. The event is free.
- Mike Gallant hosts an open mic night at The Draft on South Main Street in Concord beginning at 7 p.m.
- Harvard Professor Lawrence Lessig will participate in a talk at the Amato Center for Performing Arts, 56 Mont Vernon St. in Milford at 7 p.m.
Thursday
- The Concord Farmers’ Market holds its Thursday market from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Steeplegate Mall on Loudon Road.
Friday
- The Woman’s Association Fall Rummage Sale will be held from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the Congregational Church of Amherst on Church Street in Amherst. The event is free and will continue on Saturday, too.
- The Rafters along with Elizabeth Lorrey perform at 8 p.m. at the Riverwalk Cafe and Music Bar, 35 Railroad Square in Nashua.
- The West End Studio Theatre on Islington Street in Portsmouth presents How I Brought Peace to the Middle East, a new play by David Kaye, at 8 p.m. Tickets $18-$20. It’s also presented on Saturday.
- The Cowsills play at the Tupelo Music Hall on Young Road in Londonderry at 8 p.m. Tickets are $40-$50.
- Mirah plays The Music Hall Loft on Congress Street in Portsmouth at 8 p.m. Tickets are $22.
- Rockingham Park on Rockingham Park Blvd in Salem has Combat Zone MMA 50 from 8 to 11:45 p.m. Tickets are $120 to $40.
- A comedy benefit for HEAR in NH by the Manchester Lions Club will be held at the Radisson Hotel in Manchester. Tickets are $20.
