The Weekender: Seafood Fest, Fireworks, Fairs, Music, and More in NH

Here are some of the events and activities taking place in Patch communities around New Hampshire:

Granite State weather

It’s not quite the end of summer and that’s clear when looking at this weekend’s weather.

In the central and southern part of the state, expect highs in the high 80s on Friday but it will be a bit cooler on the coast.

Showers and thunderstorms move into the state on Saturday in the early to late afternoon, with highs in the low 80s. Showers are expected to continue overnight, with temps dropping down into the mid-50s, and a bit cooler on the coast.

The skies clear on Sunday though with highs in the low 70s, high 60s on the coast.

The rest of the week is looking pretty good, too.

All weekend

  • It’s Weekend on the Water time at Kiwanis Riverfront Park on Loudon Road in Concord as well as other events around the city on Saturday and Sunday, beginning at 9 a.m. Click here for details.
  • The Hampton Beach Seafood Festival will be held on Saturday and Sunday, featuring 60 of the Seacoast’s restaurants offering all kinds of food. Tickets are $8 each day with proceeds going to the Hampton Rotary Club; children under 12 are free.
  • The Apple Country Craft Fair is being hosted by St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Londonderry starting at 9:30 a.m. both days this weekend. Enjoy crafts, food, and fun. The event is free.

Saturday

  • The Merrimack High School Soccer team hosts a car wash from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at D&W Auto Center on Daniel Webster Highway.
  • Southern New Hampshire Pagan Pride Day will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Rollins Park in Concord, with workshops, merchants, storytelling, and more. The event is free. Click here for details.
  • Robots take control of Nashua! No, not really, but robotics will be at the Pheasant Lane Mall, from both of Nashua’s high schools as well as Windham, Bishop Brady, and Londonderry. All children and families are welcome to check it out. More info here.
  • Heritage Harley Davidson in Concord will be hosting another community BBQ day from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the shop on Manchester Street. The Granite State Children’s Alliance is the charity this week that will be supported by the event.
  • It’s Jackson Hill Cider Day from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Jackson House on Northwest Street in Portsmouth. Enjoy this early fall festival featuring music, games, crafts, and refreshments. Adults: $6; Kids: $3.
  • It’s Clydesdale Camera Day at the Anheuser-Busch Merrimack Brewery on Daniel Webster Highway from 1 to 3 p.m. Check out this link for info.
  • The WineNot Boutique on Main Street in Nashua hosts a wine and cheese tasting social from 1 to 4 p.m.
  • The Houston Bernard Band performs at the Hampton Beach C Street stage from 1 to 5 p.m. The Boston-based band offers originals and modern takes on country classics. The event is free.
  • The TLP Music School on Bryce Drive in Merrimack hosts an open house at the school from 3 to 6 p.m.
  • The Vintage and Vine Wine Festival fundraising event will be held at the Strawberry Banke Museum on Hancock Street in Portsmouth from 4 to 7 p.m. Tickets are $45 to $90.
  • M. Ward performs at The Music Hall on Chestnut Street in Portsmouth at 8 p.m. tickets are $30.
  • And don’t forget the free fireworks show on Hampton Beach at the state park at 8:15 p.m.
  • The Chad LaMarsh Band performs at Whippersnappers Restaurant in Londonderry beginning at 9:30 p.m.
