Well Sense Underwrites New Hampshire Food Bank’s Mobile Food Pantry

Manchester, NH—Well Sense Health Plan announced today that they have underwritten the New Hampshire Food Bank’s Mobile Food Pantry, a program that provides food assistance to approximately 200 families with each truckload of food. The organization’s $12,000 contribution will support the Mobile Food Pantry’s food drops in Concord and Rochester this summer.

While the New Hampshire Food Bank serves more than 400 agencies across the state, there are still many areas with high levels of need. Through quarterly statistics known as Pounds per Person in Poverty, the New Hampshire Food Bank determines areas of the state in need of additional food distribution. The Mobile Food Pantry serves these communities and delivers nonperishable items including pasta, beans, tuna fish, soup, peanut butter, jelly and juice.

“Our partnership with the New Hampshire Food Bank is just one example of how we give back to the communities we serve and help our members stay healthy,” stated Gail Garceau, Well Sense’s General Manager. “With the school year ending, there is an even greater need among children who are not receiving school meals. Well Sense is proud to step in and help the Mobile Food Pantry fill this gap.”
