Wet Weekend Possible in NH

An end to the dry spell and cooler temperatures should help dampen the brush fire dangers in the Granite State.

While nearly everyone agrees that when it comes to weather, having 70 degree days on the weekends is really ideal, the expected spotty showers on Friday, this weekend, and next week, should help put a lid on the brush fires that have been occurring across New Hampshire.

A Red Flag alert, Class 4 no burn designation was extended into Thursday, as dry conditions – but less wind – remained in place in the Granite State. However, tomorrow, according to forecasters, including the team at AccuWeather.com, a storm system that brought thunderstorms and floods to the central part of the United States, heads into the Northeast.

But don’t worry – floods, like the ones in Texas this week, aren’t coming to New Hampshire any time soon. Meteorologists predict that the rain will weaken and become more fragmented as it moves east. After that, expect cooler weather to venture into New England on Tuesday and Wednesday, as a cold front pushes south from Canada, according to AccuWeather.com.
