Who Gave the Most Presidential Campaign Cash in Bedford?

Out of the $1.2M+ donated to candidates from New Hampshire this cycle, more than $100,000 was donated from the central part of the state.

BEDFORD, NH - Cash is the lifeblood of campaigns, including the race for the White House, and during the 2016 presidential cycle, New Hampshire residents donated more than $1.2 million to the candidates.

Republicans and Democrats received nearly the same amount of money. GOP candidates received more than $635,000 while Dems received $624,000.

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton received the most money out of New Hampshire: $290,911, according to FEC filings, while rival U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders received nearly as much: $289,928.

On the Republican side, Dr. Ben Carson received the most money from Granite Staters: $89,637. U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-TX, and U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-FL, received nearly as much money, $89,313, and $88,634, respectively. Former Gov. Jeb Bush, R-FL, received nearly $83,000. More than $67,000 was donated to Gov. John Kasich, R-OH, while Carly Fiorina received more than $61,000. U.S. Sen. Rand Paul, R-KY, received more than $51,000.

In Bedford and other communities in 031XX zip code, more than $69,000 was donated to Republicans while nearly $37,000 was donated to Democrats.

For Democrats, Clinton received more than 100 donations from the area including five $2,700 donations. One of those donations came from Bedford resident Dede Sullivan, a nurse practitioner at Lahey Hospital. Sanders received 188 donations from the area and all of them were $500 or less.

On the Republican side, Carson received more than 50 donations including 20 donations between $50 and $500.

Cruz received more than 40 donations between $10 and $184.

Rubio received $2,700 donations each from Dikaios Anagnost and his wife and $2,500 from Craig Stevens, a consultant with DCI Group, all of Bedford. 

Fiorina received 37 donations from the area including $2,000 from Tom Boucher from Great NH Restaurants Inc.

Paul received 27 donations from the area including eight from Bedford.

Gov. Chris Christie, R-NJ, received five donations from Bedford including $2,700 each from Bill Greiner, an investor, Bonnie Greiner, Kenneth Solinsky, and Grace Solinsky.

Gov. Scott Walker, R-WI, received three donations from Bedford including a maxed out donation from Alexander Relyea.
