Will Seth Meyers Be Kelly Ripa's Next Co-Host?

Regis Philbin has certainly left some sizable shoes to fill, but reports are Bedford's-own Seth Meyers may prove the best fit in Kelly Ripa's search for a new co-host.

According to a story on WMUR.com, via CNN, Meyers – who recently dedicated a to his mother, a retiring Bedford teacher – is one of three remaining candidates for the position.

Former New York Giants star defensive lineman Michael Strahan and vocally talented Josh Groban are reportedly the other two.

Still, Meyers, who Bedford Patch attempted to contact, recently told The Orlando Sun-Sentinel his focus remains on Saturday Night Live, where he's an 11-year veteran. The West High School grad is currently the head writer for the show and hosts the popular Weekend Update segment.

This week, he's serving as guest co-host with Ripa all week. He also appeared on the show several times earlier this year.
