Woman Arrested in Merrimack on Second OUI Offense
Police arrested Jamie Currie of Bedford this weekend after a crash on Wilson Hill Road.

MERRIMACK, NH - A local woman is facing her second driving while intoxicated charge after an early morning accident on Sunday morning in town, according to police.
Jamie K. Currie, 23, of Beaver Lane in Bedford, was arrested on May 8, 2016, for operating under the influence-liquor, per-se, aggravated, second offense.

According to police, at just after 2:30 a.m. on May 8, police were sent to Wilson Hill Road for a reported motor vehicle accident.

When they arrived they observed a motor vehicle with extensive damage that had struck a telephone pole and a rock wall, according to Lt. Matthew Tarleton of the Merrimack Police Department.
“The driver was subsequently located and identified as the above Jamie K. Currie,” said Tarleton. “While investigating the cause of the accident, officers noted signs of possible alcohol impairment. After further investigation, Currie was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated.”
While processing Currie, officers realized that she was convicted of DWI in July 2014.
After being processed, Currie was released on $2,500 personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to appear before the Merrimack Circuit Court on May 19, 2016, to answer to the charges.
