Work Release Inmate Missing From Transitional Housing
Breaking: NH DOC and NHSP are searching for Christopher Michael Lanagan who has been missing since last night.

MANCHESTER, NH — State officials are searching for a work release resident from the Calumet Transitional Housing Unit in Manchester who has been missing since around 11:30 p.m. on Aug. 7, 2017. Christopher Michael Lanagan, 33, of Manchester, was placed on walkaway status last night “after correctional staff questioned him about unauthorized property in his possession,” according to Jeffrey Lyons of the New Hampshire Department of Corrections. Lanagan is 5 feet, 7 inches tall, and weighs around 190 lbs.

Lanagan was sentenced to two to five, with 261 days of time served, on a felony habitual offender charge. He was admitted to prison in April 2016, and was eligible for parole in November of this year. He maximum release date would have been July 2020.
Walking away from a work release transitional housing unit can result in a criminal charge of Escape, a Class B felony, punishable by 3.5- to 7-years in prison, Lyons said.
