According to a press release from Troop B in Bedford, a state trooper was driving on I-293 when he allegedly observed a Hyundai driving south on the northbound off-ramp of Exit 1 of the Interstate. The trooper attempted to stop the vehicle but it reportedly continued to drive south in the northbound lane.

“(A second trooper) was approaching (the) location when she observed the wrong-way driver traveling directly towards her in her lane of travel,” according to Sgt. Brian Viglione of the NHSP. “(The second trooper) was able to activate her emergency lights and siren and stop the vehicle. Troopers subsequently determined that the driver of a 2006 Hyundai Elantra was impaired by alcohol as a result of the roadside investigation.”

St. Yves was arrested and charged, and later, released on personal recognizance bail. She’s due in court on Sept. 26.
