Concord Native, Long-Time Resident, Former EMT, Passes Away

Bryant Peter Woods died in December 2025 of Parkinson’s disease. He attended CHS and NHTI and worked as an emergency medical technician.

CONCORD, NH — Bryant Peter Woods passed away on Dec. 20, 2025, of Parkinson’s disease. He was 58.

Bryant was born on Sept. 10, 1967, in Concord and lived his entire life in Concord and in the capital region. He graduated from Concord High School in 1986 and attended NHTI, Concord’s community college. Bryant worked many jobs, including maintenance at Genesis, for Keystone Management, and at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway. He was also an EMT with Pittsfield Fire & Rescue. He enjoyed playing golf and guitar and loved attending concerts, spending time at Hampton Beach and Lake Winnipesaukee, and visiting with family and friends.

After becoming sick, Bryant became active with the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research and attended the organization’s Unity Walk in New York City several times.

Bryant is survived by two children, Molly Woods and Connor Woods, both of North Carolina, as well as his mother, Carol (Schinella) Carlson, of Concord, and father, James Woods, and his wife, Donna, also of North Carolina. He is also mourned by four brothers, Timothy Woods and his wife, Carol, of Moultonborough; Matthew Woods and his wife, Susie, of Connecticut; Jon Woods and his wife, Lisa, of Weare; Zander Carlson of Warner; and a sister, Martha Christafro and her husband, Jason, of North Carolina. Bryant is also survived by his brother from another mother, Gregory Plourde; as well as nieces and a nephew: Emily Lepper and husband Curtis, and Stephen Woods, all of New Hampshire, and Paige Woods and husband Vijay of Massachusetts, and Eve Woods of Connecticut, and his cousins, Anthony Schinella of Concord; Anna Schinella, John Schinella, Michael Schinella of Florida; Maria Schinella of California; Benjamin Schinella of North Carolina; and Rebecca Schinella of Wisconsin.

Bryant will be buried at Calvary Cemetery in Concord later this year and the family will hold a private celebration of life in early May.
