LACONIA, NH — State investigators have been called to a second death investigation in Laconia, this one a suspected homicide on Old Prescott Hill Road.
A woman was found dead inside the home on Tuesday afternoon, according to the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office.
Attorney General John M. Formella said members of the AG’s Office and the New Hampshire State Police Major Crime Unit are at the scene after officers from the Laconia Police Department went to the home and discovered the woman deceased inside the residence.
State authorities said all known parties in the case have been identified, and the incident did not appear, at this time, to be connected to the ongoing suspicious death investigation on South Main Street earlier Tuesday in Laconia. No other details about the woman’s death were released. Her identification will be made after the next of kin are notified. An autopsy will be scheduled by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
Additional information is expected later Tuesday night or Wednesday.
