CONCORD, NH — The New Hampshire Department of Education has announced 11 semi-finalists for the 2027 New Hampshire Teacher of the Year Award.
The educators were selected from 124 nominees and 51 applicants.
The announcement marks the next step in the state’s Teacher of the Year process, which highlights educators from across New Hampshire. The department said a group of finalists will be chosen in May, and the winner of New Hampshire’s 2027 Teacher of the Year is expected to be announced in June.
“Get ready to meet our 11 semi-finalists — a dynamic group of educators who embody the passion, innovation, and dedication shaping classrooms across New Hampshire,” Richard Sala, the deputy commissioner of education and member of the Teacher of the Year Selection Committee, said. “These standout educators go above and beyond to inspire academic success, and we are eager to learn more about each of them as they move forward in this exciting journey.”
Commissioner Caitlin D. Davis also praised the educators and the role they play in schools across the state.
“The impact these educators are making in their classrooms and school communities is something to be proud of, and I’m grateful for the heart and determination they bring to their work,” she said. “We have so many talented and committed educators in New Hampshire, and this program helps to shine a spotlight on those who are making a profound difference in the field of education — helping students to grow, learn, and excel.”
