Brush Fire Near Concord Heights Homeless Camp Extinguished By Firefighters: Video (patch.com) — Concord firefighters quickly contained a brush fire near the former Steeplegate Mall and a nearby homeless camp off Loudon Road on Sunday afternoon. Crews accessed the area by the old Sears location and Steeplegate Pump Station pond, knocking down roughly a 100-by-100-foot fire and remaining on scene for overhaul to ensure it was fully out.

Nearby News NH (patch.com) — Concord readers get a roundup of last week’s most-read Patch stories, including several Concord police logs, a teen arrest, and details on two recent overdoses in the city, one of them fatal. The list also highlights statewide issues like invasive jumping worms and the semi-finalists for New Hampshire’s 2027 Teacher of the Year, which includes an educator from Concord.
3. NH Liquor Commission celebrates employees and business partners at annual awards ceremony (unionleader.com) — A Concord NH Liquor & Wine Outlet employee, Kurt Martin, was honored with the Mentor & Development Award at the state Liquor Commission’s annual Wine, Spirit & Employee Awards. The group says it will keep telehealth medication abortions available by switching to a misoprostol-only protocol, arguing the change is medically unnecessary and driven by national anti-abortion efforts.
