CONCORD, NH — Concord police are investigating reports of a man threatening people at a homeless camp off Sheep Davis Road and Loudon Road on Tuesday night.

Several officers arrived, entering the camp from both Loudon Road and Route 106. They asked for radio silence for safety reasons. The officers spoke to witnesses and searched for the suspect, who was reportedly last seen near a vehicle at the parcel.

The first-arriving officers spoke to some of the campers, but they had no information about the threat or the suspect. Police ran checks on several homeless campers. They also spoke to the man who made the call and ran checks on a car, a Jeep, and a pickup truck on the Sheep Davis Road side of the camp.

While other officers were running checks, one officer at the Sheep David Road entrance encountered a man outside of Concord Sand and Gravel and spoke with him. He was later determined not to be involved.

Police cleared the scene later without making an arrest.

The camp, where a stillborn baby was delivered back in January, has been growing during the past year, with the unhoused moving in recreational vehicles and building structures on the private property. The 10-plus-acre parcel, which is zoned for a Gateway Performance District, is slated to become a new gas station. It is owned by Sunoco Retail LLC, based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, according to city records.
