EXETER, NH — U.S. Senate candidate Karishma Manzur launched a six-day, six-event canvassing series across New Hampshire on Monday.
The opening event was at KS Kitchen in Manchester. According to the campaign, the statewide series hopes to build support for her effort before the upcoming primary election on Sept. 8.
The campaign described the stops as part of Manzur's effort to build what it called a people-powered campaign across the state.
"The momentum on the ground has been amazing and people across New Hampshire are excited about our bold, honest progressive campaign," Manzur said. "Over the next 6 days, we're going to celebrate the people of New Hampshire and build our community. We must come together to challenge the entrenched establishment of both parties and build a movement focused on reducing wealth inequality, addressing climate degradation, and getting big money out of politics."
According to the campaign, Manzur is a scientist, progressive Democrat, and peace activist running for the U.S. Senate in New Hampshire. The campaign says it is powered by people, not corporate PACs, special interests, or foreign lobbies. It also said Manzur is focused on livable wages, affordable housing, Medicare for All, and what the campaign describes as a humane foreign policy based on national interest and national security, not war profiteering.
Further details about the remaining five stops were not included in the announcement provided Sunday. More information about the candidate is available at karishmaforsenate.com.
